Before you start
- Note the approximate date, time, user and website involved.
- Remember that this page records control-panel activity, not every action inside WordPress or a website.
Steps

Open Logs from the main navigation.

Set a useful time range and filter by action, object or user where available.

Open the relevant entry and note the actor, target, action and timestamp.

Compare the event with monitoring, website analytics and customer reports.

Record the evidence before reversing or repeating the change.
Check it worked
- The filtered results cover the time of the reported event.
- The chosen entry names the expected action, object and person or system process.
Tip
Logs show control-panel actions, not every change made inside WordPress or by SSH.
What the controls do
