Check packages and resource usage
Understand the resources assigned to a customer or website and how much is being used.
Where Packages
What this is for
- Identify the package attached to a website.
- Review customer, website, staging, disk, bandwidth, email and database limits.
- Separate a capacity problem from an application problem.
Before you start
- Identify the customer and the package they should be using.
- Ask what problem was seen—such as no space, no mailbox allowance or inability to add another website.
Take care
Changing a package can affect limits immediately. Confirm the customer, website and intended allowance first.
Steps
-
1
Open Packages and choose the package card used by the website.
-
2
Review the customer allowance plus the assigned limits and current usage for each resource.
-
3
Open the website Overview page to compare site-specific usage.
-
4
If a limit is close, remove unused data or move the site to a suitable package.
-
5
Recheck usage after the change and record why the package was adjusted.
Check it worked
- The package card shows the expected customer and resource allowances.
- After a package change or cleanup, refresh the card and confirm the affected usage or limit changed.
