Before you start
- Have the intended domain, customer and hosting package ready.
- Decide whether this will be a live production site, a staging site, a blank site, an app installation or a clone.
Steps

Select Add website and choose the package that will provide resources.

Choose Production website for a public domain or Staging website for a test site.

Choose Start from scratch, Install an app or Clone a website.

Enter the domain or staging label and review the summary.

Select Add and wait for provisioning to finish before changing DNS or uploading data.
Check it worked
- The new website appears in Websites with the correct domain and environment type.
- Its Overview page loads and provisioning no longer shows as pending or failed.
Tip
Use staging for risky upgrades and design work, then validate the result before pushing it live.
What the controls do

| Install an app | Combines site creation with WordPress or another application. |
| Clone | Copies content from a selected existing website. |
