Configure branded nameservers
Add nameserver hostnames, create matching address and glue records, and advertise them to customers.

What this is for
- Add the nameservers used for customer zones.
- Point each name to an available DNS address.
- Complete registrar glue when the parent domain is delegated.
Before you start
- Choose at least two nameserver hostnames and match them to different available DNS server IPs.
- Have registrar access to create glue records when the nameservers sit below the same parent domain.
Take care
Incorrect nameserver or glue records can make every delegated customer zone unreachable. Test before migration.
Steps

Choose at least two branded nameserver hostnames on a domain you control.

Create an A record for each hostname using a different available DNS address where possible.

If the parent domain will use those nameservers, create the matching glue records at its registrar.

Add each hostname in Enhance under Nameservers.

Delegate a test domain and validate authoritative answers from each server.

Only then communicate the new nameservers to customers or use them for broad migrations.
Check it worked
- Each nameserver hostname resolves to the intended DNS address.
- A delegated test domain returns authoritative answers from every advertised nameserver.
What the controls do
| Control | What it means |
