Manage domains and document roots
Review every domain attached to a website and control which folder it serves.

What this is for
- Identify the primary domain and aliases.
- Check DNS and SSL status.
- Change a document root deliberately.
Before you start
- Confirm the exact website and domain spelling.
- Know which folder should contain the public website; the normal root is often /public_html.
Take care
An incorrect document root can expose the wrong files or take the website offline.
Steps

Open the website and select Domains.

Confirm the domain, type, DNS status and current document root.

Open the three-dot menu and choose Manage.

Use the Document root section only when the domain should serve a different directory.

Test HTTP and HTTPS after any root or domain change.
Check it worked
- The domain row shows the expected Primary or alias status and document root.
- Both http:// and https:// reach the intended website after any change.
What the controls do
