Manage users for a customer
Add, find and maintain the people who can sign in to a specific customer organisation.
Where Customers โ customer โ Users
What this is for
- See who can access a customer organisation.
- Add an individual user without sharing credentials.
- Keep customer access accurate when responsibilities change.
Before you start
- Confirm the person's identity, email address and relationship to the customer.
- Search the customer Users tab before adding anyone.
Take care
Always verify the organisation and recipient before inviting a user. Use individual accounts rather than shared logins.
Steps
-
1
Open Customers, select the correct organisation and choose Users.
-
2
Search the existing list by name or email before creating a duplicate account.
-
3
Select Add user and enter the approved person's details.
-
4
Assign only the access required for that person's role, then save or send the invitation.
-
5
Confirm that the user can access the intended organisation and no unrelated customer data.
-
6
Review the list after staff or supplier changes and remove access that is no longer needed.
Check it worked
- The person appears once under the correct customer with the intended role.
- They can reach that organisation but cannot access unrelated customer accounts.
