Forward email to another address

Forward a single address, or matching addresses across two domains.

Where Tools → Email → Forwarders

Before you start

  • Know the authorised source and destination. A forwarder is not an inbox you can log into.
  • Decide whether a local mailbox should also retain copies.

Steps

  1. 1

Enter the part before @ in Address to Forward and choose the source domain.

  2. 2

Check that the destination does not forward back to the source, then click Add Forwarder.

  3. 3

For domain-wide forwarding, use Add Domain Forwarder from the main screen. Choose the source and destination domains; matching address names are forwarded, rather than every message going to one inbox.

  4. 4

To stop forwarding, remove the matching rule from the list. Manage any local mailbox separately; deleting a forwarder is not deleting a mailbox.

  5. 5

Open Forwarders. Click Add Forwarder for one address, not Add Domain Forwarder.

Choose between a single-address forwarder and a domain forwarder.
  6. 6

Keep Forward to Email Address selected. Enter the full destination address in the field beneath it.

Enter the source address and complete destination.

Check it worked

  • Check the source and destination shown in the list.
  • Send a new message from an external address and check the destination inbox and spam folder.
