Find why an email was delayed or rejected

Use the delivery report to locate the relevant message and its error.

Where Tools → Email → Track Delivery

Before you start

  • Have the recipient and approximate send time.
  • Delivery logs can contain private addresses; share only necessary details with support.

Steps

  1. 1

Enter Recipient Email (optional), then click Run Report.

  2. 2

Use Show Blocked & Failed for problems, or Show All for the broader report.

  3. 3

Match From Address, Recipient and Sent Time. Read Result for the local or remote server response.

  4. 4

Open the row’s Actions/details control when present. Deferred means another attempt may occur; a failed result is not successful delivery.

  5. 5

Give support the time, sender, recipient and exact error if unresolved. The interface states a 10-day retention period, so investigate promptly.

  6. 6

Use Show Successes, Show Deferred, Show Failures and Show In-Progress to filter events. Adjust Max Results/Type only as needed.

Filter the report by recipient and outcome.

Check it worked

  • Confirm the entry is your intended attempt.
  • After correcting the cause, send a new test and compare results. A successful handoff does not prove inbox placement.
