Download or retain raw access logs

Choose the right domain and understand how log archives consume disk space.

Before you start

Decide why you need the logs, where they will be stored privately and when they should be deleted.
Check available disk space before enabling extended archiving.

Open Raw Access and review Configure Logs. Archiving saves processed logs in your home directory; this uses your account storage.

Review removal of the previous month’s archives and any custom retention option. Do not assume one displayed default overrides all other selected cleanup options.

Click Save only if you intend to change retention/archiving. Ask support about the combined policy if the options are unclear.

For older periods, use Archived Raw Logs when files exist. Download only the required archive and open it locally with a suitable trusted decompression/text tool.

Keep downloaded logs private. Delete an archive from hosting only after confirming the date, scope and whether another process still requires it.

Under Download Current Raw Access Logs, click the matching domain link for the log you need. The SSL row represents HTTPS traffic and is separate from the non-SSL row.

Retention controls sit above the per-domain current log downloads.

The downloaded log covers the expected domain, protocol and time period.
Monitor account storage if you keep archives, and check retention behaves as intended.
