Block an unwanted IP address
Use a narrowly targeted block and check that legitimate visitors still have access.
Where Tools → Security → IP Blocker
Before you start
- Confirm the offending source IP from relevant evidence. Many people can share a public IP.
- Record your own access IP and avoid blocking it accidentally.
Steps
-
1
Open IP Blocker and review Currently-Blocked IP Addresses.
-
2
Enter the precise address in IP Address or Domain. A domain entry is resolved to an IP; it is not a permanent rule against every future IP of that domain.
-
3
Click Add when the target is correct. Review the resulting entry in the list.
-
4
To remove a block, use the matching row’s delete/remove action and confirm only that entry.
-
5
Use a range or network format only when your provider confirms the intended scope. Broad ranges can block unrelated visitors.
Enter a precise IP or supported range, then inspect the blocked list.
Check it worked
- Test from an allowed connection and confirm the website works.
- If the abusive traffic continues, ask support whether it comes through a proxy/CDN or needs a different server-level protection.
