Install an application with Softaculous

Choose a supported application and review its destination before installation.

Before you start

Check the application’s requirements, licensing and maintenance status.
Prepare an empty destination folder, a working domain and a backup of any existing account data.

Open the application’s overview and review its requirements and available version. Do not choose an application only because it appears in a featured list.

Open its installation form. Select the exact domain and protocol, then check the directory: a blank directory usually means the domain root, while a folder name installs below it.

Complete the site and administrator details requested by that application. Use a unique strong password and an email address you can access.

Review database, update and backup options where offered. Extra themes/plugins may be optional. Read the final destination summary before clicking the install action.

Wait for a success result, open the public and administrator addresses, and keep the application updated. For later changes, select the matching installation rather than starting a second installation.

Open Softaculous Apps Installer and use its application categories or search to find the required product.
