Connect to files using Web Disk
Use WebDAV access with the minimum directory and read/write permissions needed.

Before you start
- Confirm your device supports WebDAV and obtain the server’s secure connection details.
- Choose whether the user needs to change files or only read them.
Steps

Open Web Disk. Use the main account’s access/configuration link for your own connection, or Create an Additional Web Disk Account for a separate authorised user.

Enter a unique username and password, then set Directory to the permitted folder.

Review Enable Digest Authentication only if your supported client specifically requires it. Ask support before changing authentication for compatibility.

Create the account when ready, then use its configuration/access instructions to connect your device over the secure service.

Choose Read-Only if the user should only download/read files. Read-Write also permits modifications and deletion.
Directory and Read-Only/Read-Write define the access you are granting.
Check it worked
- Test access to the intended folder.
- For read-only access, confirm a write attempt is rejected. Disconnect saved sessions when access is no longer needed.
