Set up Site Quality Monitoring

Choose a website and notification address before creating a monitoring project.

Before you start

  • Choose a public website you own and an email address that should receive service notifications.
  • Review the offered limits and data-sharing consent; availability may depend on the hosting plan.

Steps

    Open Site Quality Monitoring.

  2. 2

    Select the intended domain from the website selector. Check it is the live site you want monitored.

  3. 3

    Enter a monitored email address and read the consent text before accepting it. Do not use another person’s address without approval.

  4. 4

    Create the project when ready, then follow its setup instructions and review the first report. Investigate a reported problem on the live website rather than treating every warning as a confirmed outage.

  5. 5

    Review the included monitoring/crawl limits shown on the page. The Create project button becomes available only after required fields and consent are complete.

    Select the website, enter the contact email and review consent before Create project.

Check it worked

  • Confirm the project uses the intended domain and notification address.
  • Check that a report has completed and that notifications can reach you.
